I long to be where I last felt the comfortable joy of mountains; the sea and the rolling hills rolled up under the sun. I was no creature designed for parts delivery, and my teeth ache at the thought of chattering - this endless despair that will last three more weeks. I am getting married, and then it is time to save money. I am not at home in my own city; I am not of this sort, and I don't like the wind. I was made to be near the sea: the green doorway to a greater direction. The hobo spiders aren't going away, so I might as well enjoy my home. Atheism is a growing trend. The Grace of God has poured over me like a warm shower of water. Always failing, never surrendering. Always stumbling, never stopping. Such is the path of reconciliation towards God. My Christian walk has been constantly suprising me. I am both suprised that I am a Christian (having always thought that the "intellectual" transended the need for "desperate belief in the impossible") and suprised at how obvious the war inside me has become. One side of me wishes to destroy Christ living in me, and in turn destroy me all together. The other side is lifted up, like an army who knows it's captain has already outwitted the enemy. So...the Ren and Stimpy show. There is something cynically dark about this show that I absolutely love: the character expressions, the themes and thoughts, and the obvious drug influence behind all of those...perhaps it's not fair to assume everything weird is drug induced. For the benefit of the doubt I will say it has a "creative atmosphere" about it. We played a show last night at the Media Club in Vancouver. We did an acoustic set, which was a twist and a half.
